OVERVIEW

The International Stroke Genetics Consortium was founded in April 2007, at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Neurology in Boston. Since then the ISGC, now referred to as the International Stroke Genomics Consortium (ISGC), has held biannual international workshops to bring experts across the fields together in order to improve the genomics research in stroke that focuses on finding the genetic variants and the genes associated with stroke risk, stroke outcome and related disorders and to support the clinical implementation of those results. These workshops focus on topics selected by the ISGC steering committee, based on their broad clinical interest and relevance. We aim to stimulate future interest and collaboration among both senior and junior investigators and researchers as the exchange of presentations and ideas continues.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Upon opening of abstract submission, this will be available through Microsoft CMT. And opt-in will be available to write a short but complete paper to subsequently be published as combined proceedings. The following topics represent a non-exhaustive list of themes of interest in the area of stroke, however, submissions are not limited to these:

  • Biological Sex-Differences
  • Post-stroke cognition
  • Early Onset
  • Imaging
  • ICH
  • IA
  • Acute Endophenotyping
  • CDKP/iCPKD
  • Clinical Implementation
  • Multiomics
  • Analysis

Full paper submissions should follow the submission guidelines for formatting (see below). All submitted papers will be reviewed by the steering committee and rated based on suitability for the workshop topic, scientific quality, and clinical relevance. Note that we value novel methodology as well as thorough evaluation. Accepted papers will need to be presented as a poster or oral presentation during the upcoming workshop.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

All paper submissions to the 33rd ISGC Workshop must be submitted through the Microsoft Conference Management Tool (CMT), submission link to come shortly.
